"IN MEMORIAL"
FRANK STEWART 5/27/1924-2/4/2010

Frank Stewart passed away peacefully on February 4th, after a long
period of declining health issues. He was a LIFE MEMBER of the
CHESTER COUNTY
CORVETTE CLUB. As his son-in-law
Dave Wood
stated, he loved
Corvettes and the people who drive them to such an extent
that he had the CORVETTE logo tattooed on his shoulder. Because
of this he will take his devotion to CORVETTES to his grave.
As many know, Frank wrote a book "AS I RECALL" which was privately
printed and is no longer in print. Frank was a decorated
purple heart
veteran of World War
II Pacific theater and the book tells of his experiences
during that time.
The CCCC
American Flag which we pledge allegiance to each meeting
was presented to Frank by Ed Schmid,
Chief of Staff
for
Congressman Jim Gerlach, in the spring of 2005. The flag
was flown over the US Capitol in Washington, D.C. on April 27, 2005
for the Chester County Corvette Club. This may be referenced in
the July 2005 CCCC Newsletter.
